Report: Baseball investigating incident

Los Angeles, Aug. 5: Major League Baseball officials are investigating an incident involving Milwaukee first baseman Prince Fielder, the Los Angeles Times said.

The burly first baseman had to be restrained by a security official and a group of teammates following Tuesday's 17-4 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He allegedly tried to force his way into the Dodgers clubhouse because he was fuming about being hit by Los Angeles reliever Guillermo Mota with a pitch in the top of the ninth and the Dodgers holding the 13-run lead, the report said.

MLB spokesman Pat Courtney told the newspaper that Bob Watson, the sport's chief disciplinarian, was looking into the matter.
