Cardinals outfielder NL Player of Month

New York, Aug. 4: St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Ryan Ludwick was named Tuesday the National League Player of the Month for July.

Ludwick was the second Cardinals player in as many months to win the award. Teammate Albert Pujols was named the top NL player in June.

Ludwick, a right-handed hitter, had a .340 batting average, six home runs, 28 RBI and 18 runs scored over 27 games in July.
