Gillespie played the mother of Kelly Taylor on the original series.
The CW network told TVGuide.com she has agreed to appear as Jackie in several episodes of the second season of the new edition, starting in October.
Jennie Garth reprised her role of Kelly when "90210" debuted last year. She is expected to appear in several installments of the show in Season 2, as well, TVGuide.com said.
