MLB: Washington 5, Pittsburgh 3

Pittsburgh -- Josh Willingham hit a two-run homer and drove in a third run Sunday, powering Washington's 5-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates.

He had two of Washington's nine hits and his effort capped a week in which he became the 13th player in Major League Baseball history to hit two grand slams. He achieved that feat in a 14-6 rout of Milwaukee Tuesday.

Alberto Gonzalez's two-run double accounted for the other runs by the Nationals, who broke a four-game losing streak.

The winner was former Pirate Sean Burnett (2-2). Closer Mike MacDougal recorded his seventh save.

Pittsburgh got a two-run, third-inning homer from Ronny Cedeno and a solo shot by Delwyn Young in the seventh.

Former National Lastings Milledge had two of the eight hits for the Pirates, who have split their last four games.

The losing pitcher was starter Paul Maholm (6-6).
