Chicago, July 31: Chris Getz highlighted a four-run seventh with a two-run single Friday and the Chicago White Sox erased an early 3-0 deficit to down the New York Yankees 10-5.

Chicago beat the Yankees for the second straight night, shrinking New York's lead over Boston in the American League East to 1 ½ games.

Mark Teixeira doubled home two of the three New York runs in the first. The White Sox rallied for a 5-3 advantage through three innings and the Yankees came back to tie it in the fourth on Eric Hinske's two-run homer.

Chicago took the lead for good in the fifth on Carlos Quentin's RBI double off losing pitcher David Robertson (1-1) and broke the game open with the four runs in the seventh.

The White Sox loaded the bases against Alfredo Aceves and Getz drove in two runs with a single to right. With runners on first and third, Getz was caught off base, Jason Nix broke from third during the attempted rundown and made it to the plate safely on what was scored a steal of home.

Getz later came in on a single by Scott Podsednik.

Tony Pena (6-3) gave up a hit in two innings of relief to get the win.
