Na shoots 63 to lead Canadian Open

Na, who has not won on the PGA Tour but has had seven top-10 finishes this year, took advantage of the soft conditions to shoot the lowest round of his seven-year career.

Scott Verplank, Retief Goosen and Joe Durant all shot 7-under 65. Jimmy Walker was at 6-under with four holes to play when play was halted by darkness.

Stewart Cink, who defeated 59-year-old Tom Watson to win a playoff at last week's British Open, is not competing in the event.

Na played the back nine first at the Glen Abbey Golf Club and made the turn in 2-under 34. He then birdied seven holes on the front side for a 29. His best showing to date this year has been a tie for third at the Players Championship, where he finished five shots behind winner Henrik Stenson.
