"Music legends and their special guests will be your guides through 60 years of rock 'n' roll history, held over a two-night engagement at Madison Square Garden in New York City," the Hall of Fame said on its Web site. "Check back throughout the summer as we add more bands to the bill, open up ticket sales, and make preparations for a monumental show. All net proceeds from this event will go to create a permanent endowment for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum."
The Oct. 29 concert's lineup includes Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, Stevie Wonder, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Simon, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Friends.
Booked for the Oct. 30 musical event are U2, Aretha Franklin, Eric Clapton and Metallica.
