MLB: Detroit 3, Milwaukee 2

Detriot -- Brandon Inge's three-run, sixth-inning homer Sunday powered Detroit to a 3-2 inter-league win over Milwaukee and completed a three-game sweep.

His second hit came with two outs in the bottom of the inning and erased a 2-0 deficit.

Miguel Cabrera and Don Kelly also had a run and two hits for the Tigers, who have won four in a row.

Winner Justin Verlander (8-3) yielded two earned runs and five hits in 7 2/3 innings with three walks and eight strikeouts.

Closer Fernando Rodney earned his 14th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Milwaukee's runs were scored on solo homers by Casey McGehee in the first and Craig Counsell in the eighth.

McGahee had two of the five hits for the Brewers, who had won three straight at Cleveland before the sweep.

Losing pitcher Yovani Gallardo (7-4) gave up three earned runs and six hits in seven innings, and like Verlander, walked three batters and struck out eight.
