MLB: Boston 11, Philadelphia 6

Philadelphia, June 14: Jason Bay had four hits and two RBI Saturday when the Boston Red Sox recorded an 11-6 inter-league win over Philadelphia.

Boston scored five times in the top of the first inning before the contest was delayed 95 minutes by rain.

Jacoby Ellsbury had two hits -- one a ninth-inning solo homer -- and two RBI.

Julio Lugo had two RBI singles among four hits, and Mike Lowell added a run and three hits for the Red Sox, who can complete a three-game sweep Sunday.

The winner was Hideki Okajima (3-0).

Philadelphia's Jayson Werth had three hits -- one a seventh-inning solo homer -- and two RBI. One of two hits for Pedro Feliz was a two-run fourth-inning homer, and Raul Ibanez hit his 22nd, a solo shot in the fourth.

Chase Utley had three hits and one RBI, while Ryan Howard had two hits for the Phillies, who have split their last for games.

The losing pitcher was Antonio Bastardo (2-1).
