MLB: Texas 1, Toronto 0

Arlington, Texas June 11: Kevin Millwood combined with two relievers to hold Toronto to six hits without a walk Thursday in bringing Texas a 1-0 victory over the Blue Jays.

Millwood (6-4) escaped a two-on, one-out jam in the first and Toronto managed only one other hit through six innings. The Texas starter gave up five hits and was replaced by Darren O'Day with two out in the eighth inning and a runner on second.

O'Day then got Alex Rios to ground out to end the inning, but was replaced by C.J.
Wilson after recording an out to open the ninth. Wilson promptly gave up a double to Adam Lind, but struck out Scott Rolen and induced a ground out from Lyle Overbay to record his sixth save.

The only run came in the second inning off hard-luck loser Ricky Romero (3-3). Nelson Cruz led off the inning with a single to center, advanced to third on a double by David Murphy and scored on a sacrifice fly by Marlon Byrd.

Toronto had a three-game winning streak snapped and Texas halted a two-game skid.
