Major League Baseball handed down the disciplinary action, in which the amount of the fine wasn't disclosed, Tuesday. Cameron has appealed the suspension so it won't go into effect until that process is completed.
Cameron was ejected from the Brewers' game Saturday against Atlanta when, in the ninth inning, he got into an argument with umpire Marvin Hudson over a called third strike. During the argument Cameron is thought to have bumped Hudson, although he told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel he didn't make contact with the umpire.
Cameron, in his 15th season in the major leagues, is hitting .278 with 12 home runs and 30 runs batted in in 53 games.
