MLB: Florida 5, LA Dodgers 3

Miami -- John Baker's two-run fifth-inning homer Saturday helped the Florida Marlins down the LA Dodgers 5-3.

His fifth homer this season snapped a 2-2 tie with two outs in the bottom of the fifth.

Three others drove in one run, while Jeremy Hermida had two of the eight hits for the Marlins, who snapped their five-game losing streak.

Winner Andrew Miller (1-1) yielded two earned runs and four hits in five innings with four walks and four strikeouts.

Closer Matt Lindstrom, the last of five Florida pitchers, recorded his seventh save with a 1-2-3 ninth.

LA's Orlando Hudson knocked in two runs with sacrifice flies in the first and seventh innings.

Rafael Furcal hit a third-inning RBI ground out, and Juan Pierre had three of seven hits for the Dodgers, who had won three in a row.

The losing pitcher was Jeff Weaver (2-1) in relief of Eric Milton, who made his first start since May 8, 2007.
