MLB: Baltimore 3, Kansas City 2

Kansas City, Mo. -- Cesar Izturis scored on an error in the fifth inning Saturday for the decisive run in the Baltimore Orioles' 3-2 win over the Kansas City Royals.

Rich Hill (1-0), making his first start since going to Baltimore from the Chicago Cubs in an off-season trade, allowed two runs on seven hits with six strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings for the win.

Nolan Reimold had two hits and an RBI for the Orioles.

Alberto Callaspo drove in both runs for the Royals, who have lost seven of their last eight games. Kyle Davies (2-2) suffered the loss after giving up three runs on five hits in seven innings.

After Kansas City tied the game in the fourth, Baltimore went back ahead in the fifth when Nick Markakis reached on an error with two outs to score Izturis, who had a bunt single with two outs and advanced on a wild pitch.
