Atlanta -- Max Scherzer and four relievers combined on a seven-hit shutout Saturday when the Arizona Diamondbacks rolled to a 12-0 win over the Atlanta Braves.

It was Arizona's first win for Manager A.J. Hinch.

Scherzer (1-3) recorded his first major league victory by hurling 5 1/3 scoreless innings with four hits, three walks and four strikeouts.

Arizona was leading 6-0 before adding six runs in the top of the ninth -- four on Chris Snyder's one-out grand slam.

He matched his single-game career high five RBI by also hitting a second-inning sacrifice fly.

Center fielder Gerardo Parra had three hits and three RBI.

Eric Byrnes had two hits and two RBI, while Mark Reynolds and Miguel Montero had one RBI apiece for the Diamondbacks, who stopped their four-game losing streak.

Yunel Escobar and Chipper Jones both had two hits for the Braves, who had won five of six.

The losing pitcher was starter Kenshin Kawakami (2-5).
