Kansas City, Mo. -- Zack Greinke became the major league's first six-game winner Monday when he led the Kansas City Royals in a 3-0 win over the Chicago White Sox.

Kansas City, Mo. -- Zack Greinke became the major league's first six-game winner Monday when he led the Kansas City Royals in a 3-0 win over the Chicago White Sox.

Greinke (6-0), pitching his second shutout and third complete game of the season, gave up only six hits, did not allow a walk and struck out 10. In 45 innings this season, Greinke, 25, has allowed only two earned runs -- three overall -- on 30 hits and eight walks, with 54 strikeouts. His earned run average is 0.40.

David DeJesus homered in the Royals' third straight win. Billy Butler had an RBI.

A.J. Pierzynski and Scott Podsednik each had a pair of hits for the White Sox, who have lost three in a row.

Bartolo Colon (2-2) lost after allowing only three runs on seven hits and three walks with seven strikeouts in five innings.
