MLB: Detroit 6, Texas 4

Detroit -- Brandon Inge homered and knocked in three runs for Detroit, which used a six-run eighth-inning Sunday to down the Texas Rangers 6-4.

The Tigers were unable to score for seven innings against Texas starter Kevin Millwood but exploded in the eighth, getting all their runs off relievers C.J. Wilson (0-1) and Warner Madrigal.

Carlos Guillen added two RBI and Placido Polanco had three hits and drove in a run, helping Detroit sweep a three-game series.

Josh Hamilton and Ian Kinsler each smacked a two-run home run for Texas.

Winning pitcher Brandon Lyon (1-1), pitched two perfect innings in relief and Fernando Rodney tossed a 1-2-3 ninth inning for his second save of the season.
